1-on-1 IB MYP Mathematics tutoring across Standard and Extended strands for all MYP year groups. All four assessment criteria — including pattern investigation and real-life application — and eAssessment preparation for MYP 4–5 students.
IB MYP Mathematics — Four Assessment Criteria
MYP subjects are assessed on four criteria (A–D), each marked out of 8. Our tutors help you maximise marks on every criterion.
Selects and applies mathematics to solve problems in familiar and unfamiliar situations. Demonstrates understanding of concepts, principles, and mathematical vocabulary. Applies correct mathematical notation and reasoning.
Selects and applies mathematical problem-solving techniques to identify and investigate patterns. Describes patterns as general rules and verifies them. Proves or justifies general rules.
Uses appropriate mathematical language (notation, symbols, terminology) and representations (graphs, tables, diagrams). Organises mathematical work clearly. Moves between different representations of mathematical information.
Identifies relevant elements of authentic real-life situations. Selects appropriate mathematical strategies and applies them accurately. Justifies whether results make sense in context and evaluates the degree of accuracy required.
What We Cover in IB MYP Mathematics

Criterion B investigations: number pattern tasks (odd squares, Pascal’s triangle); geometric investigations; algebraic proof
MYP eAssessment: two papers — Paper 1 (non-calculator) and Paper 2 (calculator allowed) covering all four criteria
